[The cottage was nestled in a thoroughly wooded valley, up against the foothills of the western mountains. Walker had spent a good deal of his life here, and been...well, not happy, exactly, but not unhappy. Though his memories of the place were mixed, the positive feelings came to dominate as time dulled the pain of other events. He loved the land here - the texture and color of it, the changes it made to itself. And while he didn't genuinely want to avoid people anymore, he still preferred the solitude. So after all the recent events, he had returned here and patched the cottage up. He wasn't sure if he would stay, but for now, it was home again.]
